On June 29, 2024, Pudong International Airport in Shanghai launched a new 24/7 one-stop service station at Terminal 2, specifically designed for international travelers. This station provides essential services such as local SIM card purchases, cash exchange, mobile payment consultations, and transportation pass sales. It also offers ATM services that support international bank cards and a machine for converting 20 different currencies into RMB. Additionally, free 3-minute mainland China calls are available.
The station aims to enhance the convenience of international travelers upon arrival, offering services in four major areas: communication, payment, tourism, and transportation.

Language Support
Download and set up a translation app before arriving in Shanghai. These can be incredibly helpful when ordering food, asking for directions, or reading signs.
- Google Translate: Offers voice, text, and image translation (offline Mandarin packages are available).
- Microsoft Translator: Provides voice translation and supports live conversations with multiple people speaking different languages.
It’s a good idea to download the Mandarin language pack for your chosen app so you can access translations offline. This is particularly useful when you’re out and about without Wi-Fi or data.
