IMXUP 2025 Opens Global Applications for Music Innovation Projects
Music tech accelerator program targets AIGC integration, cross-media IP development, and music therapy applications with October pitch session in Shanghai.
IMX has launched the global application process for IMXUP 2025, seeking innovative music industry projects across technology, content, and cross-sector applications. The submission deadline is October 12, 2024, at 00:00, with selected finalists presenting at a live pitch session on October 24, 2024, during IMX 2025 Shanghai.
IMXUP serves as IMX’s music startup accelerator, connecting high-potential projects with investment and business opportunities. The platform has facilitated connections for over 100 global innovation projects across audio technology, AI music creation, new application scenarios, and gaming interactions.
The accelerator has enabled music innovation projects to engage with Sony Music China, ZhenFund, Chuangxiang Joy Capital, Galaxy Corporation, Hai Kui Music, and Shanghai Film Group Capital Investment. Multiple projects have secured investment and partnerships through the program.
Expanded Focus Areas for 2025
IMXUP 2025 broadens its recruitment scope to encompass emerging convergence opportunities:
AIGC Technology Integration: Real-time visual content generation, music production, scene matching, mood selection, and cross-border distribution applications.
Cross-Media IP Development: Music IP integration with anime/manga (“二次元”), traditional Chinese aesthetics (“国风”), and gaming elements.
Music and Medical Technology: Therapeutic applications connecting music with healthcare, particularly in healing and wellness contexts.
Selected projects will present to international industry leaders and investors at IMX 2025 Shanghai. Outstanding projects will receive direct qualification for the “Cultural and Creative Shanghai” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and showcase opportunities at IMX Tokyo and other global venues.
